Weekly Menu WW2916

Weekly Menu for the week, with some monsoon delicacies!

Monsoon is upon us in full force, it seems to be raining in most parts of India making me a happy girl. And this is the weekly menu for the week.

I love rains and besides for a country like us, which is still mainly still an agrarian economy, rains are always a boon specially at the right time. So here is my happy menu for the week with some of my favorite monsoon specials like Gatte Ki Sabji, Missi roti and more spicy stuff like Mutton Curry, tomato saar and then a little indulgence with the noodle cutlet.

Like always I must admit, that having a weekly menu just makes my life so much easier. When I am in a hurry through the week, this menu really serves me well. I tend to follow it most of the days and it just means I don’t have to waste time thinking what to cook and what I need. A weekly menu means that I can do my shopping on Sunday and do all my basic prep work. Whether it is boiling some dal in advance, or soaking chickpeas in advance, it can be done once you know what you are cooking through the week.

Otherwise, it is so tough to figure out what to make for lunchbox or dinner and then move around like a headless chicken wondering if you want to soak the dal or get the falafels in place.
