Stayaction at Howard Johnson Bengaluru Hebbal

Stayaction at Howard Johnson Bengaluru Hebbal. Of two days of eating, sleeping, swimming and family chats. On rinse repeat. A perfect way to spend time with each other and when you need food there is always room service 🙂

We as a family love stayactions. There is something so relaxing about them. Check into a hotel and eat, sleep, chat, swim on rinse repeat. No worries about anything, not even pressure of seeing something like at a normal vacation. It is truly relaxing in every sense. I was out for a whole week and both the boys are were pretty much all June on their respective vacations. So when the Howard Johnson folks asked if I want to do a stayaction, it felt like a perfect opportunity to chill and indulge in some family time.

We chilled, had endless conversations, ate lots of food, drank lots of beer. Then we slept, swam and did everything all over again. And if we needed anything , there was room service. That is what summed up our two days at  Howard Johnson. What’s not to love you tell me.

The hotel is located at Hebbal, close to Manyata tech park is usually occupied with Business travellers. In my opinion, it is perfect for both Business and tourist travellers. Hebbal is not so far from old Bangalore and some of the few tourist spots we actually gave. Besides, the airport is not too far either. And if you were doing a stayaction like us, the drive will make you think you are headed out of Bangalore anyways. LOL kidding, it is actually not too far from my home either. Around 30 odd minutes, which trust me is a boon in Bangalore.

There is enough to do for kids in terms of pool and a kiddie corner in the Sunday brunch. There is a decent spa for adults if you want to chill. The food was decent too. When we went they had a jackfruit festival going on and I was amazed at the variety of dishes they had around jackfruit. Check this instagram post to know more. The new chef has upped the game for good I hear.

But honestly, the best thing for me was the super comfortable bed. I have travelled a lot and stayed at many hotels and it goes without saying most of them have great beds, but this one was really comfortable mattress. I slept like a baby or may be I was just tired.

If you are looking to chill in Bangalore, I highly recommend Howard Johnson ! And come let me take you along for a picture tour of our stay.
