Masala chilli cookies are the perfect teatime snack option! They are an amazing addition to the lunchbox too! Who doesn't like cookies but while I am doing the course (specially in the cookies week) I had such an overdose of sweet things that I couldn't stand the sight of sugar. All I wanted to do was eat loads and loads of spicy stuff. That is when I chanced upon these masala chilli cookies somewhere and I sure had to make them. And man! how yummy they were :D :D. Whenever we think … [Read more...]

Whole Wheat Choco Chip Cookies

My special recipe of whole wheat choco chips cookies which have the goodness of whole wheat and the yummy taste of choco chips! You can't ask for more! I love to bake, my son loves to eat baked goodies but still there are times when he demands for cookies. As the cookies were mainly for him, I didn't really want to do anything with maida. Then, I had this brain wave of making up a recipe myself. I did some browsing and thought some parts of it up and came up with this whole wheat choco chip … [Read more...]

Ariselu : Indian Cooking Challenge

Ariselu is a delicious dish from Andhra Pradesh made from rice flour and jaggery and deep fried in oil! Crispy from outside and sweet to taste, this is one awesome sweet! Couple of months while blog hopping food blogs, looking for something interesting to make, I stumbled upon the Indian Cooking Challenge and I really liked the concept. And this Ariselu is a part of ICC I took up.     If we can have a Daring Bakers, we can have a ICC too! I promptly mailed Srivalli that … [Read more...]

The Perfect Date

My idea of the perfect date for Valentine's day! I have been having a very quiet Valentine's Day today, the first after we have met. We both are always looking for something or the other to celebrate a day. I know most people say that its a cliche and everyday is a day for love but I strongly believe that little celebrations just revive the love, the romance factor in a relation. Like the perfect date. So Valentine's Day is a perfect reason for celebration for us and we make it a special day … [Read more...]

Achari Broccoli – Broccoli Cooked In Tangy Achari Spices

Broccoli cooked in aromatic achari spices, this tangy Achari Broccoli is super delicious and can be paired with either rotis, or hot rice. The distinct flavour of the broccoli when cooked with fresh spices and the hit of the aamchoor gives it a kick that is unmatchable! I love broccoli. In fact it is no unknown fact that  I love all winter veggies. It is heartwarming and soul-satisfying when you eat steaming hot sabzis in winter. Most people, especially kids don’t really want to have Broccoli … [Read more...]

Apricot Orange Cookies

Apricot Orange Cookies made from whole wheat flour are a great snack option! The delicious apricots and some nuts added in ensure that these cookies are healthy and yummy! These days Ojas is in love with anything which is baked. He is such a fussy eater, but if there is something that has come out of the oven, he eats it :D.
