Quick Cooking : Zesty Garlic Toast

A delicious zesty garlic toast which is done in no time! Perfect if you have unexpected guests or need a quick evening snack 🙂

I am in love with garlic. Yes I know I have said that before and the other long term love I have, is zest. Orange, lime specially lime. So when I was planning what to make for this Blog Hop from Archana’s lovely blog, I decided to adapt her Garlicky Cheese Toast recipe.

zesty garlic toast

Butter two slices of bread a little, toast them lightly in the oven. Add some grated cheese on top, some fried garlic and the my key punch, a generous amount of fresh lemon zest mixed with freshly ground black pepper.

Adding that bit of zest just made the dish so much more awesome. The citrus mixes really well with the black peppers and cheese. And you can use different types of cheese as well. Replace the pepper with some Italian seasoning or some chilly flakes and oregano. This is actually a toast which can be tailor made to your taste.

Go ahead, increase the cheese as much as you want or use your imagination to add more fresh herbs, olives may be. Sit back and enjoy with a cup of chai or a tall glass of chilled latte.

Have a nice evening, you folks.
