Baiguney, Sikkim Part 1

A superb meet at Baiguney, Sikkim organized by Club Mahindra!

Last month, I was invited to Club Mahindra’s CONCLAY at Baiguney, Sikkim to meet other bloggers, travelers and talk about travel, food, pictures and more. Now, what’s not to be excited about an opportunity like this? North East has been in my must visit to places since a long time and this combined with an opportunity to interact with other people who are ace in their respective fields, the outstanding photographers in Arun and Vishal, the travelers and much respected travel blogger Mridula, Priya who recently went to Antarctica with Sir Robert Swan and Rakhee who has backpacked in India alone.

With people so accomplished, a topic as travel and destination as beautiful as Club Mahindra’s new resort, I knew the next three days were going to be bliss.

 Club Mahindra’s property in Baiguney

After half a day of travel when we saw the north eastern lush green hills and the resort tucked in the middle of them, I just knew why everyone who goes there comes back smitten.

Only time work can be pleasure 🙂 Saurabh and Akshat from Club Mahindra making sure we have a good time

These were the views from room. When one has views like this even people like me can get up early 🙂

Waking up to views like this with Darjeeling tea! Isn’t this what is bliss?

The pathway to heaven..errr.. the resort!

My favorite part of the room, I can sit here for hours and read!

So here is a preview of what I will show you of Sikkim in the next few days to come, stay tuned 🙂

PS: thanks to all of you who extended a warm welcome to me in the last post. Trying to be back, as you see.

Your travels are quite enviable! I wish I had a job that allowed me to roam the country 🙂

Since you’re quite a keen blogger, I was hoping that you’d want to be part of the India Is Global Photography Challenge 2012. All you need to do is go through http://www.indiais.org and blog about it. By doing so, in words or pictures, you’ll help our team map India visually- through your experiences! Add the essence of what you feel about India, let your readers know about this global initiative and help us showcase India at its best!

Of course it’s got its benefits, like India Is goodie bags! Do participate in this initiative, and claim yours.

Looking forward to you joining us!
