A trip to Kumarakom, Anyone?

A wonderful trip to Kumarakom! It is such a stunning place!

A picture post from the Kumarakom trip!

Kumarakom

K is for Kumarakom in God’s Own Country aka Kerala.

A place for lovely morning overlooking the backwaters and the fishermen in the boats.

Of lonely birds in the middle of water!

Of the most awesome water views!

The huts and Toddy (Palm Wine) shops in the middle of nowhere.

The religious processions and conserving culture.

Last but not the least, the most awesome houseboats!

So rustic and traditional from the outside!

Yet, you will be amazed at the plushness and the comforts available inside. TV, fridge, AC, yummy food, chilled beer – name it and they have it ๐Ÿ˜€

Kerala, truly indeed, is God’s Own Country, whether its the backwaters or the tea heaven – munnar. Where warmth is in abundance and nature is at its best and massages are done in birth suits ๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh, gosh, that houseboat is gorgeous! It must be so peaceful to live on board, too, being rocked to sleep by the gentle movement of the water. And the water views are stunning!

Kumarakom is really a place with stunning beauty. Though it’s known more for backwaters but it’s also a prominent place for bird watching. Expensive but good.
