Bread Rolls – Mom’s Special Recipe

Bread rolls – Deep fried bread stuffed with mashed potato, peas, and spices in an indulgent all right. But a very worthy indulgent. Here is my mother’s step by step foolproof recipe to make the same.

Bread Rolls are one my favorite indulgences. Whether the homemade ones or the ones on the street. But since we hardly find them on the streets anymore the only way to eat them in making them at home once in a while.

Bread Rolls

So I am back from a wonderful break at home. 15 days spent getting pampered by mom and enjoying the food. Some fun with Delhi shopping and the soaking in Delhi culture. tell u the city is a boon for shoppers and foodies and considering I am both it’s actually a heaven for me.

I also met some amazing bloggers there and that was the sone pe suhaga. What an afternoon that was! Chatting with Meira, nm, How do we know, SMM, Neera at the gracious host nm’s house. Brilliant conversations paired with great food like pav bhaji, pasta and kachoris and dhokla. Topping it all with some amazing pastries that Meira got for everyone.  The kids behaved themselves, played with each other and the mom chit-chatted over food as long lost friends. Can it get better and then with a heavy heart at around 4:30 pm we parted ways. Yay guys I do too many bloggers meet and would be happy to see too many comments. Read what Meira wrote about the meet here πŸ™‚

And now that I am back from home, let me put a Friday Feast recipe which is my mom’s special recipe. I am sure a lot of people make it but this somehow remains mom’s specialty for us especially for Naren. When mom visited us to our house first time after the wedding she made it for breakfast and Naren instantly loved it. As a result, whenever mom is visiting or we are gone home bread rolls have become a must make breakfast.

And the funny thing is that N calls it bread pakora and the first time he asked us to make bread pakora we were like really surprised because I didn’t know he likes them but nonetheless we made it and when it reached the table. N was what have u made and then we realized that he is actually asking for bread roll πŸ™‚ So here is the recipe for Mom’s Special Bread Roll.

So do make it, and when you do share a picture with me. Tag #sinamon on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. I would love to hear from you.

Awesome bread rolls – my mom used to call them ‘Dumba’. And just mix a lil bit of tomato sauce with the green chutney. Tastes awesome with the Dumba πŸ™‚ My mouth is watering now…
