Bloggers Table Saffron, Park Plaza

A bloggers table at Saffron, Park Plaza! Interesting menu focusing on North West Frontier food.

The Park Plaza, Marathahalli has introduced a menu focusing on North West frontier food. Some of us were invited for a tasting of the menu, so here is a picture essay on what we ate that day.

The condiments were served in an earthen tray. The raw papaya relish (which was outstanding), hung curd dip, lemon pickle, coriander chutney with pomegranate seeds and turmeric.

Panch Rattan Subz Seekh – nothing very great about it, I found this one ordinary.

Mutter aur Corn ki shammi – the flavours in this one were fab however I think it was overground and was very pasty.

The indian papads -I love these anywhere I eat an Indian meal.

Cosmo : a good one at that!

Amristati Tawa Meat – the dish of the day for me. I could make a whole meal out of this one!

Peshwari Jhinga – A good meal till now, this is where it started the other way around for me. The prawns were over cooked something I find very hard to forgive.

Oh before I forget, we paired the starters with an outstanding white wine!

Dal Makhani or Maa Ki dal – a good one not the best I have eaten but certainly good. I would give it a 6/10 if I had to.

Bhutte Aur Tamator Ki Sabji – as a dish in itself not bad but the problem here was both the gravies looked and tasty the same.

Methi Chicken – very very very good dish again.

Saffron, Park Plaza

I absolutely loved the menu, so royal and so apt.

All in all, a mixed meal. Some things very good and some ordinary. We did give the feedback to the chef and hopefully all is sorted now and they are ready for a great meal experience.
