Sweet Punch : Whole wheat cookies

Whole Wheat Cookies, made with 100% wheat flour,  are the perfect healthy option for a teatime snack or a lunch box idea!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup almonds coarsely ground
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (8 tablespoons or 4oz)
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt, almonds, raisins and choco chips.
  • Now add the softened butter and milk to the flour mixture to make dough. It has to be a very soft dough so add more milk if it is needed.
  • Make round balls of the dough and place on the parchment paper, press a little, it should be of about 1/2 inch thickness.
  • Bake the cookies for in a preheated oven at 180C for 14 minutes or until cookies are lightly gold brown.
  • Let the cookies cool down for two to three minutes before taking them off the cookie sheet and cool completely on the wire rack.
