Til laddoos and coconut laddoos are amazing Indian sweets, which are really easy make! Make these for Ganesh Chaturthi this year!
Ganesha is known for his love for food, specially ladoos and modak. These til laddoos and coconut laddoos are my offering to my Ganesha!
Festivals are always special, aren’t they? And if they are in India, all the more special. I always associate festivals with food. And honestly, what is fun without food? I personally think, I celebrate festivals only to make those delicious food items associated with them.
Whether it is making puri halwa for Navratri or til gajak for Lohri, I love the food associated with festivities. There is always a special taste to them, isn’t it? And I have such fond memories associated with festivals. Like what mom or grandmom used to cook or the fun we used to have at home. The whole decorations involved, the special clothes to wear or just the holidays from school. It is great growing up in India, since there are so many festivals to celebrate.
This year, I made these coconut laddoos and til laddoos for the Ganesha at my place. So delicious and actually pretty easy to make.
And if you really check the recipe, these laddoos are pretty healthy too. Jaggery, til and coconut. Actually great desserts to have if you have sweet cravings 🙂
- There is a jaggery available which is dark. If you get that it’s even better. I couldn’t get it this year so I used the lighter variety.
- Avanti, I will post a snack recipe next week. Sols hopefully you can use that for Peanut’s kindergarten also 🙂 Man, I feel like a famous cook, people asking me for recipes 😀
- PS: I am off to N’s village for the weekend to have total fun! Yay!
