The Pizzeria : Answer to pizza home delivery woes

The Pizzeria is the answer to pizza deliveries at my home 🙂

The child at home is a big pizza fan. He loves and adores pizza like most kids but the thing is that I feel it’s such a waste going out to for eating a pizza. For me, pizzas are for movie and beer nights. Pizzas should be ordered in and had at home chilling on the couch on the evenings that one doesn’t want to cook, on the evenings that one doesn’t want to go out either. So that is how The Pizzeria came into the picture.

But there lies in the biggest problem. Most home delivery pizza joints are horrid. Their pizzas are like never ending thick bases which you keep on chewing endlessly, and with toppings which fall down in a landslide manner cheese and all after the first bite.

So pizza is always a bone of contention at home, the child wants to order, I hate to order and this was the case till I spotted a small little board right in the lane leading up to our colony.  It said “The Pizzeria”, I parked my car and walked in to look and it certainly held my interest with a couple of benches and a good oven they promised thin crust pizzas, my heart did a happy dance and I did a silent prayer. This could be the end of our pizza woes I thought. Same night an order was placed and boy, were we happy.

Perfect crust, thin and crispy. Good cheese, good quality toppings and the right amount of seasoning. The pizza battle was won that day. We have been repeatedly ordering from them post that day and have always been happy with what gets delivered. The lead delivery times is a little more but nothing that one can’t spend waiting for that delicious piece of pizza in peace and there is always chilled beer to sip till it reaches. If there is one complain we have with them is the fact that they don’t do “pepperoni”, yes there is no pork on the menu but it doesn’t hurt all that much.

The Pizzeria

Trie Peperoni : Fresh tomato sauce, red and yellow peppers, olives and mozzarella. This is N’s favorite.

Nepolitana : Spicy tomato sauce, mozzarella, black olives, grilled chicken and garlic oil. This or the one with salami is the favorite chicken pizza at home.

Sicilia : Fresh tomato sauce, mushroom, mozzarella, garlic, onion, sun dried tomatoes and olive. I feel this one has too many toppings

Impressed by the pizza we also tried the pasta one day and they were pretty decent too, though if you ask me to pick up one of the two from Pizzeria, I will pick up the pizza. Pasta somehow is not as refined in taste as the pizza, feels very indianised IMHO.

If you are in the whitefield/marathahalli area. Don’t wait order soon 🙂 Infact they have four branches Zomato tells me – Marthahalli, Banaswadi, Kalyan Nagar and J P Nagar.
