Anyone who knows me well is aware of the fact that I love cooking dishes which are simple to make and don’t require too much effort. One ingredient I surely love to play around with is oats. Whether it is the simple overnight oats or using oats in baking or making some granola bars or amazing burgers out of them, oats are one of my favorite ingredients.
I know of many households where now oats porridge is a regular breakfast or mid-morning meal. One of my friend’s grandmother regularly has oats porridge (Oats cooked in milk and water, with a sprinkling of sugar or jaggery) for breakfast. She says that ever since she has discovered oats (which was pretty late in life!) she loves to eat this porridge every day. It keeps her full and seems to give her an extra boost of energy in the mornings.
There are many reasons why we should be including oats in our diet. Here are some reasons to include oats in your diet. No matter how you have it, in porridge form, as a powder camouflaged in baking or just as upma, its sure is a fiber rich cereal to include in your diet.
