Photo Review : Chinese Food Festival at Grand Mercure

A beautiful Chinese Food Festival at Grand Mercure, Bangalore!

Grand Mercure is a hop, skip and jump away from my house and its fast becoming our ‘lets go out for dinner for a change’ place. The fact that they keep getting variety in the menu by having festivals often just adds to the charm. They are currently having a Chinese Food Festival which has great food. The festival is on till Sunday.

Simple food and yet presented in a lovely manner. There was a live counter where you could customize your food. There were noodles and rice which you could ask the staff to make it in the way you wanted to.

Here is a picture essay on what we eat last week.

Grand Mercure

The Chinese balls make the part of the decor.

The cutlery so pretty and the interesting thing was the place mat. They had details of wines in general, the kinds and what wine can go with what dish.

I loved their pots – Shrimps with ginger and soya.

Grilled Fish with chilli black bean sauce.

ChungKing Vegetables – Crispy Fried Vegetables in chilli oil and scallions.

Tofu with Palm Hearts chilli and hoisin, this was a beautiful dish.

Asparagus and babycorn with Shitake in yellow bean sauce.

Stuffed Zuchini with hot and sour sauce.

Chicken Fried Rice.

Hoisin Grilled Chicken Salad

Hunan Lamb Salad with celery and straw mushroom

Crispy Fried Banana Salad

Char Sui Lamb Buns

The sauces.

Star dish of the day for me – shanghai prawn salad with cherry tomato and bell peppers!

Dimsums.

Fried rice we customised on the live counter.

And some noodles.

Accompaniments for the ice cream.

and some more!

Egg custard in a tart! Grand Mercure sure knows how to get the crust right 🙂

Grilled banana with toffee! Super delicious! And really, oh-so-yum!
