Orange Marmalade which tastes so delicious that you just can’t resist it! A perfect start to the breakfast toast!
I love making jams and conserves at home. They are a bit of hard work, but the satisfaction you get after making them and eating them is so amazing. So the other day I was browsing Tarla Dalal’s Microwave Snacks & Desserts and I came across a recipe for Orange Marmalade. I was pretty excited, I had been thinking of making some jam and this one seemed pretty easy. So I decided to try my hand on it. And I am glad I did because it turned out so yum. This one seems more like conserve, a little thicker I would say than a marmalade, but nonetheless so delicious! I mean who doesn’t love a recipe of a jam which just requires some microwaving 🙂
I usually make mango jam during the mango season as we get so many mangoes from the village that we really don’t know what to do of them. So every summer about 4-5 bottles of mango jam is made and that gets enjoyed for the next two months. Yes, you heard it right only for next two months because you see my little brat loves jams and that is one of the reasons why I love making jams at home!
Honestly, making jams at home is a bit time consuming but the overall process is super easy. It is just about getting the fruits mixed with sugar well and then letting it cook. Any jam without preservatives means that you know exactly what you are eating! If you really read the ingredients of jams available at the supermarket you will be shocked to see the amount of preservatives. If you really store your homemade jams well, they really stay for a long time. I love trying out new flavors like this strawberry balsamic pepper preserve or the fig honey paprika one! Delicious, I must admit 🙂
So without much ado, try this yummy orange marmalade and enjoy your breakfast tomorrow!
