Pearl Onion Pulao is a simple dish combines onions and some basic spices to create a delicious rice dish!
So for this Wednesday, I was assigned the awesome blog Simple Indian Food and the blog just represents what its name is. Tons of simple Indian treasure recipes there. After browsing through it nicely, I decided to make the Pearl Onion Pulao and it was just perfect.
Isn’t it amazing how simple dishes can taste so yummy? This pulao practically uses all the basic spices and just onions but tastes mind blowing with a raita. I would suggest the yummy orange peel raita to go with it. Of course, we had this with rajma and chicken curry, but if you are running short of time, just make a raita and your meal is perfect!
I am a big fan of such one pot meals. They are really quick to make and on hot days when you don’t want to be in the kitchen, just make a pulao like this pearl onion pulao, a quick raita and your meal is ready!
I love the pressure cooker because of that. In fact, I think it is the best invention ever! You can just add what you want in it, it will pressure cook in no time and you have a delicious meal in hand. Just as I am writing this, I am wondering how lucky our generation is. We have so many kitchen gadgets to help out in the kitchen.
Whether it is the food processor or the mixer – Life is just so much easier isn’t it? Of course, the taste of crushing something with a mortar and pestle means the taste is much more enhanced. Like a great ginger garlic paste made in the mixer may not have the same taste as that of the mortar and pestle. But hey, I am all for quick cooking here 🙂
